William Morrell Self passed away Saturday May 25, 2024.

A Cullman County native, Mr. Self was born April 23, 1941, son of William Loys Self and Aubie Louise Cates Self.  He was retired from the State of Alabama Highway Department.

Survivors include four siblings, Faye Delores Self Sorrell of Cullman, Joy Lynn Self Gillespie of Bessemer, Jimmie Dane Self of Montgomery, Gloria Jean Self of Ramer; two sons, William Nelson Self (Casey) of Deatsville and Jason Morrell Self (Wendy) of Electic; and 9 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Louie Franklin "Pete" Self, daughter Rachel Marie Self Fanning.

Graveside services will be held May 29, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville, AL.
