Funeral services for Therisa Anita Thornton of Hanceville will be 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 13 ^th at The Refuge Church in Cullman. Reverend Tim Dubberly will be officiating. Burial will follow at Turney Family Cemetery in Vinemont. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 12 ^th at The Refuge Church. Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Thornton was born on May 15, 1960 to Kirby and Katie Lou (Powell) Woodard in Bartow, Florida. She died at the age of 61 on October 10, 2021 at her residence in Hanceville.

Survivors include her husband, Rickey Thornton; children, Kayla Garner, Karly Hood and Katina Robbins; grandchildren, Brittany Davila, Christian Davila, Raylyn Sky Hood and Alexis Brooke Hood; great grandchildren, Baylor Kane Monfort, Blakely Iris Monfort and Charlie Ann Davila; and sisters, Sarah Driggers and Sandy Tijerina.
