Funeral services for Thelma Sandlin-Thomas, of Hanceville, will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 30th at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. The burial will follow the service at Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville. Visitation for the public will be from 11:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mrs. Thomas was born on March 12, 1923, in Cullman, Alabama to the late Trav and Cora (Baggett) Sandlin. She passed away at the age of 100 on September 23, 2023, at Woodland Village Nursing Home in Cullman, Alabama. Thelma worked for 39 years with South Central Bell Company which is now known as AT&T. She also served as a volunteer Auxiliary Lady at Woodland Hospital for 25 years.

Mrs. Thomas is survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Thomas; siblings, Hazel Stevens, Roy Sandlin, Clyde Sandlin, Ruby Sandlin, Flora Johnson, Grace Barber; and nephews, Emery Parker, Berl Parker, Earl Parker, and Jimmy Sandlin.
