A graveside service for Sandra M. Sandlin Luna age 77 of Hanceville will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2021 at Garden City Cemetery. Reverend Johnny Benefield will offiate.  Hanceville Funeral Home directing. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 1 p.m. Monday.

Sandra was born on August 18, 1944 in Birmingham, Alabama to Earlie Maloy and Orpha Bee McCombs Sandlin and died on December 25, 2021 at UAB hospital in Birmingham.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Joyce Sandlin Laminack.

She and her husband Butch were the owners and operators of Lunas BBQ in Hanceville for a number of years.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, David E. "Butch" Luna and a brother, Wayne (Kathy) Sandlin and a brother-in-law, Joe Laminack.  Four nieces; Cindy (Nat) Keating, Kim (Adam) Smith, Jennifer (Chris) Branham and Janice (Cary) Long,  one nephew, Greg (Casey) Sandlin and several great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
