Mrs. Ruth Duke, age 104, of the Welti Community, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 12, 1917 in Cullman, Alabama to Vesta Harris and Alpha Goodson Harris.

She is survived by her children, James (Joyce) Duke, Nelda (Sherman) Bailey, Janice Jarrells and Wendell (Barbara) Duke; ten grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Welti with Reverend Randy Sellers and Reverend Josh Sellers officiating. Burial will follow in the Welti Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Hanceville Funeral Home and at the church on Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
