Funeral services for Ruby Jean Glasscock, 90, of Hanceville will be 2:00 P.M. Monday August 10th at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Duck River Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at Hanceville Funeral Home.
Mrs. Glasscock was born on May 21st, 1934 to the late Charlie and Lucy Chapman. She passed away on August 8th, 2026 at Hanceville Nursing Home & Rehab.
Mrs. Glasscock was very proud of being a 1952 graduate of Hanceville High School and could be seen wearing her class ring wherever she went. She was also proud of her employment with Hayes Aircraft in Birmingham, AL, where she had worked faithfully. Above all else, she was a devoted member of Stouts Mountain Baptist Church.
Mrs. Glasscock is survived by her children, Jason (Stephenie) Glasscock and Debbie (Tom) Campbell; grandchildren, Nathan Sellers, Colby (Brooke) Glasscock, Asa (Candi) Pugh, Adam Glasscock, and Jase (Callie) Glasscock; great grandchildren, Cameron (Autumn) Glasscock, Xavier (Alyssa) Sellers, Colton Glasscock, Kaden Glasscock, Asa Ray Pugh, Madison Pugh, Skylar Sellers, Sawyer Sellers, and Sage Sellers; siblings, Flo Ellen Day, Charlie “Junior” Chapman, Edith Swan; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Glasscock was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Glasscock; mother and father, Charlie and Lucy Chapman; and children, Jay Glasscock and Brenda Pugh.
