IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ruby Maxine
Elsberry
December 29, 1930 – November 29, 2023
Ruby Maxine Reel Elsberry – Went to be with her Lord and Savior November 29, 2023 at almost 93 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.D. Elsberry, Son in law, Stephen Argo and many of her siblings and friends. She was born on December 29, 1930 in (Kirbytown) Guntersville, Alabama. Later her parents, Emmitte & Viola Brogden Reel moved to their family farm in Dutton, Alabama. She was raised with 12 siblings (9 brothers and 3 sisters). Her baby brother Leonard (Doris) Reel and baby sister Faye Hyde are the only two surviving siblings.
She was a hard worker for many years at Pizitz and Marsh Bakery, as a well-known cake decorator. People enjoyed her birthday and wedding cakes that she made while raising her only child, Carolyn Reel Argo, as a single mother. She also enjoyed her grandchildren, Kasey (Davy) Lolley and Emily Cole, as well as her Great Grandchildren, Mary Kaitlyn (Yancey) Hill, Tyler Curtis, Kyleigh Powrzanas, and Gavin Cole. She was precious to all her Great Great Grandchildren, Marie Hill, Carter Churchwell, Walter Hill, and brand-new addition Arthur Joseph "AJ" Hill. She also gained a Grandson, David Stephen Argo, Jr. (Rene), and all his children and grandchildren after Carol and Steve married.
Ruby and A.D. Elsberry met and married in the early 80's. She gained a wonderful family full of children, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great Great Grandchildren; but mainly great friends in the Elsberry family. She also has many nieces and nephews that she loves dearly. Special Thanks to: Clay and Mavis for being with her on her last days on Earth. As well as her friends at Hanceville Senior Center, Evon and the Rowdy Bunch along with special friend Paula Hoover, her coffee buddy. She had so many friends and if she could leave a message (Be Ruby Strong): Visit loved ones, hug them and forgive as you have been Forgiven and cling to the Old Rugged Cross. Thank you to her doctors and nurses at Cullman Regional Hospital who cared for her. Everyone there was wonderful and caring.
Please consider donating to Hanceville Senior Center or Samaritan's Purse in honor of Ruby.
