Funeral service for Robert Harold Weldon, 78, of Hanceville will be held at 2 PM Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Hanceville Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Benefield officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview West Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday beginning at noon at the funeral home.

Robert was born in Cullman and spent most of his adult life in Slidell, Louisiana where he worked for the city. He passed away on August 5 ^th at a local nursing home.  The son of the late Earlie H. and Janet Lamont Weldon is survived by siblings: Betty Campbell of Holly Pond, Paul Weldon of Slidell, La, sister, Peggy Sansing of Blountsville; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by siblings; John Weldon, Ruby Sansing, Sonny Weldon, Evelyn Bahr and Billy Weldon.
