Funeral services for Richard Jared Lindsey, 67, of Hanceville will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 9th at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Hopewell Cemetery. Reverend Alan Yeater will be officiating. Visitation for the public will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, October 8th at Hanceville Funeral Home.

Mr. Lindsey was born on August 11, 1956, in Montgomery, Alabama. He passed away on October 5, 2023, at his residence in Hanceville.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Lindsey; mother, Zelda Lindsey; children, Karen Blackwood (Kim-Allen), Seth Lindsey (Amy), Leslie Vest-Hughes (Brian), and Jared Lindsey (Jennifer); siblings, Brenda McPherson (David), Mark Lindsey (Jill), Melanie Russell (Jerrold); grandchildren, Kambell Blackwood, Harper Hughes, Nolan Hughes, Kennedy Murray, and Coralee Roddy; and a host of many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Lindsey was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Richard Lindsey.

In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation be made in his honor to Cullman County Department of Human Resources to help provide for the needs of Cullman County's foster children. Those donations can be made to Cullman County DHR and sent to Cullman County DHR, PO Box 990, Cullman, Alabama 35056. Please note "Lindsey Memorial Fund" in the memo line
