A graveside service for Richard L. Kitchens of Gardendale will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 10 ^th at Sandlin Chapel Cemetery in Bremen, AL. Visitation will begin at 5:30 P.M. on Thursday, December 9 ^th at Hanceville Funeral Home.

Mr. Kitchens was born on July 26, 1940 in Ripley, Mississippi to Jesse and Jewel (Manning) Kitchens. He died at the age of 81 at his residence in Gardendale, Alabama.

Survivors include his children, Jeff Kitchens, Christopher Ray Kitchens and Nancy Erica Sue Kitchens; grandchildren, Christopher Ashby and Savannah Ashby; siblings, Jesse Kitchens, Harold Kitchens, Linda Estes, Brenda Carter and Cindy Gail Hancock; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Kitchens was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Kitchens; son, David Kitchens; and a brother, Charles Edward Kitchens.
