A funeral service for Randall Gene Buchanan of Welti, AL will be 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 3rd at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Welti. Josh Sellers & Randy Sellers will be officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, February 2nd at Hanceville Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Mr. Buchanan will be laid to rest at Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville.

Mr. Buchanan was born on May 11, 1959 in Fayetteville, North Carolina to the late George Buchanan, Sr. & Delma (Schienert) Buchanan. He died at the age of 66 on January 30, 2026 at Hanceville Nursing Home, in Hanceville.

A man deep in his faith, Randall was a devoted member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He had a love for people and was known for his gentle spirit. In addition, Randall spent many years working as a cook at Cullman Regional Medical Center where he enjoyed helping people, those he served and the coworkers he worked alongside. He leaves behind a legacy of what it means to walk humbly with God and care deeply for others.

He is survived by his brother, George "Rusty" Buchanan, Jr., of North Pole, Alaska.

It was Randall's request that donations be made to St. Jude or the Humane Society in lieu of flowers. Hanceville Funeral Home is honored to serve the Buchanan Family.
