A Celebration of Life service for Ralph Edker Schnelle, of Cullman, Alabama will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Bishop Richard Ramsey, State of Alabama Church of God of Prophecy, will be officiating the service.
Mr. Schnelle was born on February 27, 1935, in Cullman, Alabama to Fritz Schnelle and Erin Carnes-Schnelle. He passed away at the age of 88, on August 11, 2023, in Cullman, Alabama.
Ralph was duly appointed as Pastor of the Church of God Prophecy in Guntersville, Alabama for the convention year of 2005-2007; with an estimated 58 years of total service for the Lord. He was admitted to Folsom Center- USA Healthcare in Cullman on May 3, 2016; being a resident for a little more than 7 years. They took him on as Pastor of the Folsom Center because he wanted to have a purpose and continue his pastoral job for the Lord to the residents. Ralph also enjoyed his job as a furniture factory worker at Johnson's Furniture Company in the Berlin Community as a cushion stuffer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Louise (Duke) Schnelle; siblings, Mae Bell Woods, Betty Lee Bagwell, Inez Schnelle, Edythe Schnelle, Lois Schnelle, and Lewis Lee Schnelle.
Survivors include his son, Paul D. (Tina) Schnelle; daughter, Margaret M. Chappell; grandchildren, Kayla D. (Forrest) Whitaker, Noah E. Chappell, Katlin (Zac) Perkins; father of the grandchildren, Ronald Chappell; great grandchildren, Sofiah, Izabellah, Lilyannah; brother, Horace Schnelle; and a host of many nieces and nephews.
