Ms. Green was born August 20, 1946 in Cullman, Alabama to the late Amos & Maelene Harvell. She passed away June 2, 2026 in Cullman, Alabama.

Nellie had a heart full of love that she freely shared with everyone she met. She never missed an opportunity to tell others about Jesus and the goodness of God. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she found great joy in encouraging others, offering a kind word, and sharing the message of salvation with all who crossed her path.

Above all else, she loved her family. She treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and loved ones, creating memories that will be cherished for generations.

Those who knew her will remember her gentle nature, her compassionate heart, and her faith. She leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and Christian faith that will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.

Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior, whom she faithfully served throughout her life.

Ms. Green is survived by her son, Robert Baker; grandson, Nathan Baker; great grandson, Cameron Baker; siblings, Danny Harvell, Joe Harvell, Brenda Hammond, Linda Briscoe, Arlene Hammond; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ms. Green was preceded in death by her parents, Amos & Maelene Harvell, and her sisters, Jan Wisener, and Kathy Malon.

Hanceville Funeral Home is honored to serve the Green family.
