Melba Faye Kugler, 85, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026. Born on August 9, 1940, in Cullman County, Alabama, Melba lived a life defined by quiet strength, steady devotion, and a deep love for her family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister whose presence brought comfort, humor, and warmth to everyone who knew her.

Melba is survived by her two sons, Dennis Kugler and Bill Kugler (Kim); her cherished grandson, Lawton Kugler; and her sister, Sherry Shedd (Dennis). She was preceded in death by her parents, Claud and Eva Barnett, and her daughter‑in‑law, Joyce Kugler.

Melba will be remembered for her resilience, her warmth, and the deep love she carried for her family throughout her life.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Hanceville Funeral Home. Visitation begins at 1:00 p.m., with the service at 2:00 p.m.
