Funeral services for Mary Louise Smith, 88, of Hanceville will be 12:00 Wednesday January 24th at Center Hill Baptist Church.  Burial will follow the service at Center Hill Cemetery.  Reverend Heath Riggs will be officiating the services.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 until 12:00 at Center Hill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Smith was born January 29, 1935, in Mobile, Alabama.  She passed away January 18, 2024, in Hanceville, Alabama.  Mrs. Smith was a longtime member of Center Hill Baptist Church, where she also taught Sunday school for several years.  She was also one of the first members of the G.A. Club (Girls Auxiliary).  Mrs. Smith also attended Wallace State Community College where she obtained her Cosmetology certification.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Hue Smith; daughter, Beki Roden; 6 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister, JoAnn Lowery; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Amy and Bernice Wescovick-Collier; daughter, Debbie Collum; and her brother, Johnny Collier.
