Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Boatright, 82, of Hanceville will be 12:00 P.M. Saturday May 30th at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at Hanceville Funeral Home.

Mary Elizabeth Boatright was a cherished mother and grandmother, who passed peacefully in her home on May 26, 2026. Her family was the center of her world, and she poured her heart and soul into creating lasting memories that will endure for generations. Her gentle kindness and quiet strength touched all who knew her, leaving behind a lasting legacy of compassion, love, and affection. Mary was a devoted member of Hopewell Baptist Church and was always a caring and loving person to everyone she met. She was an inspiration to all around her and she held the special place in her heart for those she worked alongside at Hanceville Nursing Home, whose companionship and laughter brought immense joy to her life.

Mary is survived by her children, Jeffery Boatright (Cindy), Michael Boatright, Anthony Boatright, Philip Boatright (Brittney), Amy Moore. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her spouse Herbert (Billy) Boatright, parents Chester and Flora Quick, and brothers JD Quick and Kenneth Quick.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tory Boatright, Justin Farmer, Cordell Minor, Scotty Foshee, Richard Fant, and Donny Farr.
