Funeral services for Lucas Wayne Darnell, 33, of Hanceville will be 12:00 Monday March 24th at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow the service at Shelton Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday March 23rd from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Hanceville Funeral Home.

Mr. Darnell was born April 3, 1991, in Birmingham, Alabama.  He passed away March 20, 2025, in Hanceville, Alabama.

Mr. Darnell is survived by his mother, Myra Darnell (Chad Rice); half-brother, Josh McDonald; step-siblings, Wesley Wilson; Austin Rice, Haley Rice; beloved dog, Buddy; grandmother, Gertrude Darnell; aunt, Amanda Lambert; cousins, Jacob Lambert, Justin Lambert, and Jessica Day.

Mr. Darnell was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Henry Darnell, and his uncle, Stanley Darnell.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jacob Lambert, DJ Johnson, Austin Rice, David Rice, Troy Rice, and Jeremy Patton.
