Funeral services for Louie Farr, 73, of Vinemont will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday November 12th at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Center Point Baptist Church cemetery in Cullman, Alabama. Jimmy & Jerry Martin will officiate services. Visitation will be Tuesday November 11th from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Hanceville Funeral Home.
Mr. Farr was born June 9, 1952, in Cullman, Alabama to the late Henry Farr & Audie Mae Parker. He passed away November 7, 2025, at his residence in Vinemont, Alabama.
Louie Farr passed away surrounded by his loving family. He was a caring father, devoted husband, proud grandfather, and a true family man who worked hard all his life to provide for those he loved.
Louie was known for his strong will and determined spirit—he was headstrong and never gave up, no matter what challenges came his way. Those who knew him best will remember his love for family gatherings, his dedication to his work, and his passion for chicken fighting, which brought him many friendships and fond memories through the years.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Farr is survived by his wife, Carrie Farr; his ex-wife, Dianne Glenn; children, Joyce Lovell (Calvin Kirven) of Mississippi, Kalesha Camp (Michael) of Jasper, Jessica Farr (Ricky Thomas) of Blountsville, Daniel Farr (Michalia Jenkins) of Cullman, Shi-Ann Farr (Watson Smothers) of Cullman; grandchildren, Justin Ward, Dakota Lovell, Destany Lovell (James Lindsey), Steven Farley, Faron Camp, Makayla Camp, Braxton Ray, Dalton Farr, Marney Jenkins, Willow Thomas, Bode Smothers; great grandchildren, Kylan Lovell, Kaidyn Lovell, Mar'Laya Lindsey, Isabella Cagle; and his goddaughter, June Butt (Tom Layow).
Mr. Farr was preceded in death by his mother, Audie Mae Parker & Henry Farr; siblings, Hughdon Farr, Yvone Copeland, Dennis Farr, Eula Mae Pate; and his ex-wife, Imogene Farr.
Serving as pallbearers will be James Lindsey, Daniel Farr, Faron Camp, Michael Camp, Steven Farley, Calvin Kirven, and Braxton Ray.
Hanceville Funeral Home is honored to serve the Farr family.
