Funeral services for Leo Pope of Hancevile, Alabama will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 8, 2021 at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Fairview West Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

Mr. Pope was born on June 7, 1943 to Alexander and Bernice (Martin) Pope. He died at the age of 78 at his residence in Hanceville on November 4, 2021.

Survivors include his children, Sonja Denise Pope-Connell and Charlotte Anne (Ricky) Armstrong; grandchildren, Joshua (Kaley) Dean, Michael (Amanda) Dean, Ashley Loggins, Zachary (Brittni) Armstrong and Alex Armstrong; great grandchildren, Haylee Nethery, Mikaela Dean, Paetience Loggins, Blakley Dean, Isabella Dean, Paizlee Armstrong, Knox Armstrong and Tynzlee Armstrong; brother, Cleo (Libby) Pope; sister, Lois Hayes; brother-in-law, Greg Young; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Pope.
