Funeral services for Lady Elan Alvis, 83, of Garden City will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 27th at Trinity Pentecostal Church in Hanceville. Burial will follow the service at Garden City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the church. Herman Elliott and Bo Garrison will be officiating services.

Mrs. Alvis was born on August 19, 1940 to the late Virgil and Emma (Cook) Wilbanks. She passed away at her residence in Garden City on February 24, 2024.

Survivors include her children, Tony Alvis and Beth (Tony) Chambers; grandchildren, Cody Chambers, Taylor (Geremy) Hooks, Jacey Alvis, Emma Chambers, Sharon (Jeremy) Loggins and Amy Thornton; several great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Alvis was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rev. Vernon Lee Alvis; daughter, Connie Thompson; and siblings, Walter Wilbanks, Bo Wilbanks and Hollie Duke.
