Funeral services for Joyce O'Brien, 84, of Hanceville, will be 1:00 P.M. Friday December 26th at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow the service at Hopewell Cemetery.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Hanceville Funeral Home.

Mrs. O'Brien was born June 12, 1941, in Cullman, Alabama to the late James & Treecie Thompson.  She passed away December 21, 2025, in Cullman, Alabama.

Mrs. O'Brien is survived by her husband, Doug O'Brien; children, Steven O'Brien (Tracey), Julie O'Brien; grandchildren, Malory O'Brien, Clint O'Brien; brother, Ted Thompson (Janice); brother-in-law, Lester Duncan; and a host of nieces, and nephews.

Mrs. O'Brien was preceded in death by her father, Henry Thompson; mother, Treecie Thompson; and her siblings, Stan Thompson, Glenda Duncan, Charlotte Miller, and Imogene Galin.
