A funeral mass for John Bernard Thomas, 97, of Cullman will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday November 4th at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.  Burial will follow the service at Sacred Heart cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday November 3rd from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Hanceville Funeral Home.

Mr. Thomas was born April 28, 1928 in Hanceville, Alabama.  He passed away October 28, 2025 in Cullman, Alabama.

Mr. Thomas is survived by his children, James Thomas (Donna), Kathy Gentry, Rose Parton (Anthony), John Anthony "Tony" Thomas; grandchildren, Amy Lay Davis (Pink), Jake Parton, Broc Thomas (Madelynn), Rose Diaz (Alex), Claude Thomas; great grandchildren, Jeremiah Meherg (Haley), Christopher Meherg (Caci), Kelley Smith (Jason), Ella Parton, Emma Parton, Liana Ray Diaz, Lucian Jay Diaz, Roman Victor Diaz, Naiya Thomas, Knox Thomas, and one more on the way; great-great grandchildren, Carter Meherg, Wylder Meherg, Nakiya Smith; siblings, Curt Thomas Jr. (Martha), Sister Mary Ruth Thomas O.S.F., Rita Thomas; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Thomas; daughter, Ruth E. Thomas Graveman; parents, Curtis Thomas Sr. & Ruth; siblings, Barbara Thomas Burmaster, Charles Thomas, and Joanne Thomas.
