Funeral services for Jo Ann Calvert will be 11:00 AM Saturday, November 7, at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Reverends Paul Campbell and Wendell Prince will be officiating. Burial will follow at Livingston Chapel Cemetery in Crane Hill. The family will welcome guests for a visitation beginning at 6:00 PM Friday, November 6 at Hanceville Funeral Home.

Mrs. Calvert was born to Joseph A. Nichols and Hazel (Shelton) Metzler on August 15, 1947 in Jefferson County. She died at the age of 73 at her residence in Cullman County.

Mrs. Calvert is survived by her children, Brian (Shannon) Calvert, Kristi (Wendell) Prince, and Amy (Sean) Toomey; grandchildren, Damon Calvert, Makayla Calvert, and Zoe Taylor; mother, Hazel Metzler; and siblings, Marteen (Phyllis) Nichols, Rebecca (Jim) Gibson, Razel (Jim) Acton, Melissa (David) Mays, and Richard (Misty) Nichols.

In addition to her father, Joseph A. Nichols, Jo Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Larry D. Calvert, brother, Phillip Metzler; step-father, Robert Metzler; and step-mother, Dot Nichols.
