A funeral service for Jerry Wayne Thrasher of Blountsville will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 23 ^rd at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Blountsville. Reverend Deb Williams and Reverend Keith Hancock will be officiating the service. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday prior to the service at Hanceville Funeral Home.

Mr. Thrasher was born in Marshall County on September 18, 1951. He died at the age of 71 at his residence in Blountsville on November 21, 2022.

Survivors include his wife, Shelia Thrasher; children, Laurie (Anthony) Smith of Cullman, Lee Ann (Brad) Lawrence of Morgan City, and Heather (Michael) Palmer of Pell City; grandchildren, Braxton (Savanna) Weaver of Eva, Jay Price of Hayden, Izzie Price of Pell City, Austin Lawrence of Morgan City, Gracie Lawrence of Morgan City, Robert Palmer of Birmingham, and Penelope Palmer of Birmingham; sister, Patricia Harris of Walter; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Thrasher was preceded in death by his mother, Viola Mae Thrasher; father, Talmadge William Thrasher Sr., and brothers, Larry Dale Thrasher and William Thrasher Jr.
