Funeral services for Evelyn "Jeanie" Ballenger, of Bremen, Alabama will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 28th at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Flat Rock Cemetery in Crane Hill. Toby Grimmett will be officiating the services. Visitation for the public will be from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Saturday prior to the service at Hanceville Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ballenger was born on March 28, 1940 to the late Louis and Laura Logsdon. She passed away at the age of 83 on October 26, 2023. To know Jeanie was to love her. The infectious smile and bubbly personality were just two of the many precious memories that will forever be cherished. To say the least, she took the saying 'Living my best life' very serious, as she did just that. She enjoyed being on the road non-stop and always made sure to take time to participate in activities at Senior Centers.

Survivors include her husband, A.V. Ballenger; sons, John Ballenger (Rachel) and Keith Stricklin; daughter, Beverly Grimmett (Toby); 14 grandchildren; brother, Ronald Logsdon; and a host of many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ballenger was preceded in death by her 5 siblings.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to First Source for Women in Hanceville, Alabama.
