Funeral services for Ricky Jason Waldrop, 40, of Hanceville, will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 5th at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Garden City Cemetery. Reverend Rick Vinson will be officiating. Visitation for the public will be from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Waldrop was born on October 16, 1982, to Ricky Waldrop and Jerri Burns in Birmingham, Alabama. He passed away on August 31, 2023, in Hanceville, Alabama.

Survivors include his four children, Colton, Tucker, Axel, and Bodhi; mother, Jerri (Bobby) Tankersley; father, Ricky Waldrop; aunts, Jane (Bricen) Blalock, Amelia (Charles) Hunt; and Robin (James) Pike; grandmother, Susie Waldrop; mother of his children, Kayla Weaver; and a host of nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Mr. Waldrop was preceded in death by his grandparents, Doris Warden, James Waldrop, and Jerry Burns.
