A graveside service for James Edward Long, 70, of Hammond, Indiana; formerly of Bremen, Alabama will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 27, 2024 at Dorsey Creek Cemetery.

He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, husband, and friend.

Survivors include his loving children: Tabitha (Antonio) DePaolo, and Melissa (Cole) Feitshans; wife: Darlene Long; grandchildren: Erin Morgan, Amelia DePaolo, Gabriella DePaolo, Antonio DePaolo Jr. and Dominic DePaolo; and siblings: Donna, Charlotte, Mary, Michael, George, and Diane; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Everett and Mary Long and Virginia Gunter; and siblings: Patricia, Horace (Buddy), Sherry, and Thomas Jr.

James loved to go fishing, gaming, car racing, and wrestling (especially WWE). He was also a fan of his Chicago sports teams (Bears and Cubs). He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, husband, and friend.
