A graveside funeral service for James V. Elliott, 92 of Hanceville will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Fairview West Cemetery in Hanceville with Brother Randall Waldrop officiating.

James died at his home on Saturday, April 29 ^th . He is survived by his wife Gaynell; children, Steve (Jennifer) Elliott, Tim Elliott and Gina (Richard) Casey. His grandchildren, Chad Elliott, Brett Elliott, Whitney (David) Suarez, Tiffany (Colton) Teeling, Brandi (Michael) Kornegay and Kyle (Brooke Barnett) Casey. Also surviving is a great grandson, Eljah Gray Suarez and a sister, Clara Barnett; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents,  Elbert M.Elliott and Myrtie Whaley Elliott and siblings, Herman Elliott, Laura Alexander, Pat Stevens, Idas Elliott, Gene Elliott and Matt Elliott.

Pallbearers will be Chad and Brett Elliott, Michael Kornegay, Kyle Casey, David Suarez and Colton Teeling.
