A graveside service for Jack Wayne Mitchell of Hanceville, Alabama will be 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Mountain Grove Congregational Christian Cemetery. Reverend Kip Green will be officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. at Hanceville Funeral Home.

Mr. Mitchell was born in Jefferson County on August 8, 1939 to Alphonzo and Helen (Smith) Mitchell. He died at the age of 82 at Cullman Regional Medical Center in Cullman on August 9, 2021.

Survivors include his children, Van Mitchell, Charlie (Karen) Mitchell and Wes (Ginger) Mitchell; grandchildren, Seth Mitchell, J.J. Mitchell, Bradley Davis, Zander Mitchell and Miley Mitchell; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Joe Mitchell; sister-in-law, Laura Harris; and brother-in-law, Jerry Thompson.

Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his wife Helen (Thompson) Mitchell.
