Funeral services for Hue Elijah Smith, 93, of Hanceville will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 6th at Center Hill Baptist Church.  Burial will follow the service in the adjoining cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday, July 5th from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Hanceville Funeral Home.  A visitation will also take place Saturday, July 6th from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Center Hill Baptist Church.

Mr. Smith was born June 20, 1931 in Cullman County, Alabama to the late Leonard and Beatrice Smith.  He passed away July 2, 2024 in Cullman County, Alabama.

Mr. Smith is survived by his daughter, Becky Roden (Charles); grandchildren, David Kelso (Kim), Tamy Dunlap (Wayne), Daniel Kelso, Brett Putman, Leah Nuss; great grandchildren, Courtney Frazier (Bo), Cody Kelso, Marionna McDonald (Justin), Taylor Mayhall (Michael), Cole Kelso, Peyton Kelso, Elijah Putman; and 8 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Smith; his daughter, Debra Smith Collum; and his sister, Florence Pratt.
