German Maqueda Martinez 67 of Hanceville passed away on April 18, 2023 at his residence.

German was born on Jun 1, 1955 in Jacala Hidalgo, Mexico. German was the son of late Mauricio Martinez Hernandez and the late Teresa Maqueda Rojo. He was a mason for fifteen years, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved to be outside and listening to music.

Survivors include his wife, Valeria Ponce Martinez Martinez; Children, Jose Luis Martinez Martinez, Raul Martinez Martinez, Alejandro Martinez Martinez of Hanceville, Alabama, Antonio Martinez Martinez of Jacala Hidalgo, Mexico, Delia Martinez Martinez of Jacala Hidalgo, Mexico; Seven grand children; Four brothers; Four sisters; and a host of nieces and nephews.

German is preceded in death by one brother, Manuel Martinez Maqueda; father, Mauricio Martinez Hernandez; mother, Teresa Maqueda Rojo.

Visitation will be held at Hanceville Funeral Home on Saturday, April 22 ^nd at 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M.
