Gayle Grantham, age 75 of Hanceville passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born on April 23, 1946 in Cullman, Alabama to the late Grady and Leola Edwards Alexander. Gayle worked as a Dietary Technician at the Woodland Village Nusing Home for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maxie Grantham; her parents, Grady and Leolo Alexander; great granddaughter, Alba Turner; brother, J.C. Alexander; sisters, Ethelene Phillips, Jimmie Graves and Betty Shuford. She is survived by her two daughters, Rita Putman and Donna McElwee (Anthony Shelnut); three granddaughters, Megan Pitts, Alisha (Ross) McCain and Alaina (Jay) Turner; seven great grandchildren, Mallory McCain, Jemma Turner, Mia McCain, Jasper Bryant, Jax, Turner, Ada McCain and Jud Turner; a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 11:30 AM at the Fairview West Cemetery with Rev. Michael Strickland officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Hanceville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
