Funeral services for Fred Helms, 75, of Hayden will be 2:00 P.M., Sunday, August 30, 2026 at High Rock FCM Church. Burial will follow the service at High Rock FCM Cemetery. The family will welcome friends for viewing from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at High Rock FCM Church.

Heaven gained a beautiful soul today.

Fred Helms entered the Gates of Heaven, where he is now resting in the loving presence of his Lord and Savior. Fred shared his love for the Lord through both his words and his actions, touching the lives of many people along the way.

Fred was a loving, respectful, and caring man who was always willing to help others along life’s journey. His kindness, faith, and generous spirit will be remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing him.

Please keep Fred’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May God comfort them, give them strength, and surround them with His peace.

Rest in peace, Fred. Your work here is done, and your eternal home awaits. You will be deeply missed.

Mr. Helms is survived by his children, Dewayne Helms and April (Chad) Kinard; step daughter, Tina Ryan; grandchildren, Stephanie (Colby) Williams, Savannah McCurry, and Michael McCurry; great grandchildren, Ava McCurry, Aiden McCurry, Liam Williams, Lilly Monroe, and Cashton Monroe; brother, Julius Helms Jr.; and friend, Gail Dixon.

Mr. Helms was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Irene Helms; and siblings, Jack Helms, J.C. Helms, E.C. Helms. Shirley Helms, and Gracie Brumblow.
