Funeral services for Frankie Mae Boyd, 70, of Cullman, will be 1 o'clock Saturday January 31, 2026 at St. James United Methodist Church in Warrior, AL. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12 PM to 1 PM at St. James United Methodist Church.
Ms. Frankie Mae Boyd was born on February 8, 1955. She was the second child to the late Mr. Frank Harvest Sampleton and Mrs. Willie Mae Munford.
She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Zion Church under the leadership of Rev. Gary Craig. She was a member of Family Life Center Church under the leadership of Pastor Greg Holsey, where she served faithfully.
She departed this earthly life on Wednesday January 21, 2026, at Cullman Regional Medical Center.
Frankie Mae was a wonderful person. She was a true woman of faith. She left a lasting impression on everybody she met. Frankie Mae, A.K.A. Mae Mae to so many, was the rock and glue to hold us all together. No matter what she was always a phone call away. She was a listening ear, a prayer warrior, a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, a sister, an aunt, and a true friend to so many. She loved the Lord, her family, and was loved in return by so many.
Frankie Mae was proceeded in death by her parents Frank Harvest Sampleton and Willie Mae Munford, sisters Patricia Ann Lewis, Paula McCalpine, and Felicia Sampleton; brothers, Ronald and Donald Sampleton; nephews, William Maurice Purifoy and Paul Reginal Sampleton Jr.; niece, Wintress Crenshaw.
She leaves to cherish her memories: one loving and devoted daughter, Felicia "Nanny" Sampleton-Clopton; son, Maurice "Bubba" Sampleton; Grandchildren, Eric Clopton (Nicole), Juwan Saxton, Terrell Sampleton, Kayla Sampleton, and Latoria Griffin; Great Grandchildren, Zayden Clopton, Rhyver Clopton, Parklynn Clopton, Braylen Glenn, Terrel Sampleton Jr., Tristan Sampleton, Kayden Batson, and Marlaysia Sanders; Brothers, Willie Sampleton (Cullman, AL), Harvest Sampleton (Sylvia) (Upper Marlboro, Maryland), Otis Sampleton (Patty) (Manhattan, Kansas), David Sampleton (Carol) (Huntsville, AL), and Paul Sampleton (Donna) (Douglasville, Georgia); sisters, Lola Sampleton (Trafford, AL), Doris Sills (Cullman, AL), and Pamela Henson (Odis) (Huntsville, AL), and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Special Friends Jackie Boyd, Anna Moore, and Sharon Beckam.
