Funeral services for Evelyn Aline Dover Stenson will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday April 18th at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Livingston Tabernacle Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Hanceville Funeral Home.

Ms. Stenson was born January 29, 1940 in Hartselle, Alabama to the late Jose & Lorine Lewis. She passed away April 15, 2026 in Hanceville, Alabama.

Evelyn Stenson, a devoted woman of faith and servant to her community, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering devotion to God.

Evelyn’s life was a testament to her deep and abiding faith. Through every season—both joyful and challenging—she remained steadfast, trusting in God and holding firmly to her beliefs. Even in times of adversity, she never wavered, serving as an inspiration to all who knew her.

She had a servant’s heart, especially when it came to her church. Evelyn was known for her willingness to give of herself in any way she could. She often raised money for the church by preparing and cooking meals, sharing both her talents and her love with others. She also made it a priority to care for those around her, frequently picking up elderly members of the community to ensure they could attend church services, reflecting her deep compassion and kindness.

Evelyn will be remembered for her selflessness, her strong faith, and her dedication to serving others. Her life touched many, and her example will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.

She leaves behind a host of loving family members and friends who will cherish her memory and carry forward her legacy of faith and service.

Ms. Stenson is survived by her children, Deborah Drinkard (Jimmy), David Dover (Martha), Gregory Dover; grandchildren, Amber Jones (Chris), Rusty Drinkard (Tonya), Crystal Morris (Chris), Christina Jones (Matt), Kimberly Reburn (Justin), Chris Dover (Ashley), Tabitha Veil (Justin), Jake Dover, Justin Dover, Brandon Dover; and 19 great grandchildren.

Ms. Stenson was preceded in death by her parents, Jose & Lorine Lewis; sons, Larry Dover, Keith Dover, Vernal Stenson, and Jerry Dover; and 7 siblings.

Serving as pallbearers will be Noah Jones, Lincoln Jones, Jett Jones, Jake Dover, Chris Morris, Matt Jones, and Chris Jones.
