Funeral services for Emmitt B. Melton will be 2 O'clock P.M. Saturday February 8, 2020 at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville. The family will welcome friends for a visitation on Saturday February 8, prior to the service beginning at 12 O'clock Noon.

Mr. Melton is survived by his wife, Marie Melton; children, Mickey G. (Loretta) Melton, and Sherry Melton (Daniel J.) Davis; grandchildren, Michael Scott Dynes, Lisa M. Janick, and Lori Melton; two great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Mr. Melton is preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Hattie (Pitman) Melton; sisters, Gladys Westimayer, Elzora Quick, Vera Ballard, Ila Melton, and Lila Melton; brothers, Oliver Melton, R.B. Melton, and Leslie Melton.

The family would like to thank Hope Hospice and special thank you to Vicki Alexander for their care and compassion.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital and to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
