A Celebration of Life service for Ella Marie Sims will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 21 st at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Colony Cemetery. Visitation for the public will be at Hanceville Funeral Home on Thursday, January 20 th from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.
Ella Marie Sims was born Oct 2, 1945 to the late Mitchell Raymond Nall and Mattie Lee Nall. Marie accepted Christ at an early age. She departed from this earthly life on January 17, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and late husband Albert Winston Twitty Sr., son Byron O'Keith Twitty, brothers Joel Nall, Elkenah Nall, Robert Nall, and sister Esteen Fletcher.
Marie earned her degree in Mental Health from Wallace State Community College, as well as receiving a certificate in Commercial Foods. Marie enjoyed working in the mental health field as a Mental Health Technician. She spent her time enjoying, raising her children and grand children.
She leaves to cherish four children: Michael Twitty, Albert (Jennifer), Twitty Jr., Marvis Sims and Demetrice Sims, one daughter-in-law Kimberly Twitty, seven grandchildren: Keith O'Bryon Twitty II, Lechondria Munford, Makayla Sims, Jamai Mims, Solomon Penn, Jonah Penn, Isaak Penn, one great grand-daughter Najiyah Moss. Siblings: Hosea Nall, Mark (Geraldine) Nall, Carolyn Prudhomme, Hiram (Sandra) Nall, Myrus (Vivian) Nall, and Shelia (Carl) Snelson.
