Douglas Michael Leipert

June 23, 1970 ~ July 2, 2025

Douglas Michael Leipert, 55, of Holly Pond, Alabama passed into glory on July 2, 2025.

Michael was born in Flint, Michigan in 1970 to Douglas Ferrell & Melba Jean Leipert.  He was the youngest of 5 children.

Michael played football and graduated from Hanceville High School, Class of 1989.  After graduation he served in the National Guard and then drove an 18-wheeler until his passing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Douglas & Jean Leipert.

He is survived by his three children, Jacob Heaton, Michaela (Blake) Murray, and Mikey (Kayla) Leipert, along with his six grandchildren, Tripp Heaton, Hazel Heaton, Madilynn Murray, Ryan Leipert, Mabri Jean Leipert, and Porter Leipert.  He is also survived by his four siblings, Kim (Britt) Steele, Karen (Philip) Calvert, Gregory (Sedena) Leipert, and Jeffrey Leipert.

A viewing will be held on July 5, 2025 at Hanceville Funeral Home from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M., with service following the viewing.  No graveside services will be held.
