Funeral services for Dewey Orbin Absher, 93, of Hanceville, Alabama will be 12:00 P.M. Friday, January 19th at Hanceville Funeral home Chapel. Reverend Randall Waldrep will be officiating services. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Friday, January 19th at Hanceville Funeral Home.

Mr. Absher was born on May 1, 1930 to the late Orbin Byno and Leoma (Stapp) Absher in Cullman, Alabama. He passed away on January 14, 2024 at Cullman Regional Medical Center in Cullman, Alabama. He was a cattle farmer for many years.

Survivors include his long time companion, Fay Neely; son, Arthur (June) Absher; grandsons, Scott Absher and Mike Absher; stepson, Dale Neely; brothers, Farris Absher and Kyle Absher; and sister, Iva Thomas.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Absher was preceded in death by his son, Danny Absher; grandchildren, Carole Absher and James Absher; sisters, Sybil Johns, Jewel Carney, and Verlia Honeycutt.
