A graveside service for Cynthia Whitaker-Hogland of Hanceville will be 12:00 P.M. Monday, May 29th at Shelton Grove Cemetery in Hanceville. Reverend Ray Ponder will be officiating. Visitation for the public will begin at 11:00 A.M. on Monday at Shelton Grove Church.

Mrs. Hogland was born on April 29, 1961 to Byron and Jean Whitaker in Chicago, IL. She passed away at the age of 62 on May 26, 2023 at her residence in Hanceville, Alabama.

Survivors include her husband, Joel Hogland; sister, Susan (Carey) Casey; brothers, Jimmy Whitaker and Bobby (Michelle) Whitaker; mother, Jean Whitaker; brother-in-law, Greg (Jennifer) Hogland; sisters-in-law, Deanna Hogland and Julie Malcom; parents-in-law, Ray and Mary Hogland; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hogland was preceded in death by her father, Byron Whitaker; and niece, Alicia "A.J." Harris.
