Funeral services for Cory McAvoy, 36, of Hanceville will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 30th at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Kevin Hamm will be officiating. The visitation will be from 12:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mr. McAvoy was born on March 30, 1987 in Birmingham, Alabama.  He passed away October 26, 2023.

Survivors include his parents, Daryl and Betsy McAvoy; his sister, Kayla Palmer (Matthew); his brother, Steven McAvoy; nephews, Isaiah Cross White and Blaze McAvoy; niece, Cara Palmer; grandparents Sharon Helms, Thomas Anderson, and May Ann Anderson.

Mr. McAvoy was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jerry McAvoy; step-grandfather, J.C. Helms; step-grandmother, Jean McAvoy; and uncle, Keith McAvoy.
