Funeral Services for Colene P. Shelton, 81 of Hanceville, Alabama are 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 29 at the Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation for friends will be prior to the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Shelton Grove Cemetery.

Born September 9, 1938 in Cullman County to Claude and Annie White Parker she had been a teacher at a church day care center in Birmingham. Most recently she attended Prospect Baptist Church, Hanceville

She is survived by her brother, Marrell (Glenda) Parker, sister-in-law, Gertrude Darnell and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Shelton is preceded in death by her husband, Velta Shelton, sister, Irene Stewart, and three brothers, Orlin Parker, Thurman Parker and J.R. Parker.
