Funeral services for Marie Melton, 96, of Hanceville will be 12:00 P.M. Wednesday June 3rd at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at Hanceville Funeral Home.

Mrs. Melton was born May 17, 1930 in Lawrence County, Alabama to the late Marion & Bessie Mickle. She passed away May 31, 2026 in Jefferson County, Alabama.

Mrs. Melton is survived by her children, Sherry Davis, Mickey Melton (Loretta); grandchildren, Michael Dynes (Karla), Lisa Janick (John), Lori Melton; sister, Mildred Phillips; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Mrs. Melton was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt Melton; parents, Marion & Bessie Mickle; and her brothers, Devon Mickle, Buddy Mickle, and Roy Mickle.
