Funeral services for Christia Pichelmayer-Young, of Huntsville, Alabama will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 13th at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel.  Reverend Les Clements will be officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation for the public will be from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home on Thursday.

Mrs. Young was born on July 14, 1953 to Billy Drew and Mary Eleanor Pichelmayer in Birmingham, Alabama. She passed away at the age of 69 on July 10, 2023 at Huntsville Hospital.

Survivors include her husband, Douglas Young; daughters, Becky Johnson and Laura (Michael Baker) Whitfield; grandchildren, Haley (Robbie) Calloway, Baylee (Dylan) Johnson, Chloe Cox and Taylor Whitfield; great grandchildren, Matthew Tennyson and Elijah Morris; step-sons, Doug Young and Keith Young; nephews, Jay Hawkins, Todd Key and Erik Perkins; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Matthew Whitfield; sister, Mary Beth Perkins; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
