Services for Mr. Bobby Joe McAlpine, 77, of Hanceville will be held at 1 P.M. Friday, January 17, 2020 at Hanceville Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Laney officiating. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery. Bobby Joe's family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 3 to 8 pm.

The native of Blount County was born to the late Alvin and Florene Harper McAlpine.

Mr. McAlpine is survived by his wife, Sherry (Reynolds) McAlpine; children, Robert (Stefanie) McAlpine, Amy (Chad) Whaley, Alexis McAlpine, and Josh (Keitrah) McAlpine; grandchildren, Savannah (Tyler) Calvert, Ethan McAlpine, Taz Whaley, Walker Whaley, Tripp Whaley, Harloe Johnson, and Sadie Sharp; great-grandchildren, Kallista Calvert, Isabella Harris, and Quinn Calvert; brother, James McAlpine; sister, Mary Ellen (James) McCoullough; sister-in-law, Mary Ann McAlpine; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. McAlpine is also preceded in death by his sister, Doris (James) Loyd; brother, Charles McAlpine; infant, Richard McAlpine; and sister-in-law, Shirley McAlpine.
