Blake Rice Evans, 62 years old from Hanceville, Alabama, died on January 7, 2025, at Cullman Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Hanceville Funeral Home in Hanceville, Alabama at 2:00 PM, with Reverend Danny Freeman officiating. The family will welcome friends from 12:30 – 2:00 PM. Burial will take place at Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville.

Blake was curious, strong willed, stubborn and loyal. He never met a stranger and was always seeking knowledge. He loved drag racing and fishing. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He was survived by his wife of 31 years, Shelia Miller Evans; mother, Sue Rice Evans, brothers Brant Evans and Drew (Leann) Evans; sister Brooke (Brent) Freeman; nephews Jesse Evans, Garrett Evans, Lauren Grace Evans, Landon Evans and Luke Freeman. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father Daniel Evans (2021) and nephew Colton Evans (2011).

Pallbearers will be Brant Evans, Drew Evans, Brent Freeman, Jesse Evans, Garrett Evans and Landon Evans.
