Funeral Services for Barbara Sue Scott Johns affectionately known as "Grannybob" will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday November 13 at the Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Reverends Randy Burtram and Bob Holley will be officiating. Visitation for friends is 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., Tuesday November 12 at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Bethlehem East Cemetery.
Barbara worked at Nicholson File for 34 years as a machine operator. She was also the longest active member (70 years) at Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Johns is survived by her children Linda Johns Quick, James Alan (Angela) Johns, and Michael Anthony Johns. Grandchildren include Brandon (Kerry) Quick, Brittney (Robyn) Canady, Brent Quick, Shawna Manning, Amanda Johns, Scott (Brooke) Johns, Kimberly Johns, Will (Tesla) Johns and Katie Johns. Great grandchildren include, Collin Harris, Josie McDonald, Sagey, River and Barrett Susanna Canady, Addyson Manning, Ellie Wells, Brycen Johns, Donavan and Carter Morgan, Colt and Blaklee Johns, Kyhlie, Jake and Silas Johns and Naomi Eady, a sister Dean (Ray) Murphree, a brother, Dan (Brenda) Scott and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Mrs. Johns is preceded in death by her husband, James "Jimmy" Johns, parents Ennis and Alene Scott, sisters, Maxine Holley, Brenda Glista, brothers, Rayburn, James and Bill Scott, and son-in-law James (Ronnie) Quick.
