Funeral services for Audrey Davis Carlisle, 83, of Hanceville will be 3:00 Friday October 20th, at the Hanceville Funeral Home chapel.  Brother Mike King will be officiating.   Burial will follow the service at Center Hill cemetery.  Visitation for the public will be from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Friday, October 20th at Hanceville Funeral Home.

Mrs. Carlisle was born January 31, 1940, in Blountsville, to the late Hoyt & May McElroy.  She passed away October 17, 2023 in Cullman, AL.

Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Sweatmon Bates (Perry); her grandchildren, Ryan Douglas Lambert (Kim), Amanda Nicole Vaughn (Nick), Julie Bates; siblings, Ernestine Davis Gray, & M.C. Davis; a host of nieces, nephews, & friends.

She was a lifetime caregiver of the sick and elderly.  She loved shopping and looking good.  She married Benny December 27, 1983 and he was the love of her life.

In addition to her parents, Hoyt & May McElroy, Mrs. Carlisle was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Ray Carlisle; her son, Danny Ray Sweatmon; siblings, Imogene Davis Mead, Christine Davis Osborne, Evelyn Davis Ayers, & her twin brother Aubrey Davis.
