Funeral services for Allen McAnnally of Hanceville will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 27th at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Garden City Cemetery. Rev. Lonnie Goodwin will be officiating. Visitation for the public will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, May 26th at Hanceville Funeral Home.

Mr. McAnnally was born on April 2, 1943 in Cullman, Alabama to the late Sammie and Lillian (Tanner) McAnnally. He passed away at the age of 80 at Cullman Regional Medical Center in Cullman, Alabama on May 23, 2023. Allen served for 27 years in law enforcement; including being a former Chief of Police. He also retired from Louisiana Pacific and served as a deacon of Midway Missionary Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, Patty McAnnally; daughter, Sheila (Al) Garcia; grandchildren, Leo Allen Garcia and Aimee Trihn; sister, Gennette (Richard) Hancock; niece, Dana McCutcheon; nephew, Greg Hancock; a host of many great nieces and nephews; and his beloved pets, Tom-Tom & Harley.

In addition to his parents, Mr. McAnnally was preceded in death by his aunt, Clara Greathouse.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in his memory to Midway Missionary Baptist Church at P.O. Box 418, Hanceville, Alabama 35077.
