Funeral services for Alice Medlock, 99, of Hanceville will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Hopewell Baptist Church in Hanceville.  Burial will follow the service at the adjoining cemetery.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:30 until 2:00 at Hopewell Baptist Church.

Mrs. Medlock was born December 2, 1924 in Cullman, Alabama.  She passed away December 29, 2023 in Hanceville, Alabama surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Medlock is survived by her children, James Medlock Jr. (Sharlene), Patty Medlock Allcorn (Edwin), Lynne Medlock Green, Karen Medlock Mitchell; grandchildren, Jason Allcorn (Tanya), Allison Medlock Jones (Trent), Mary Medlock Wilson (Josh), Tim Green (Kalah), Amanda Allcorn Graham (Russell); great grandchildren, Anna Kate Allcorn, John Luke Allcorn, Elliott Jones, Keller Jones, Oliver Wilson, Alice Amelia Wilson, Tristan Green, Kruz Green, Kade Green, Tynslee Green, Ezra Graham, Asa Graham, Audrey Graham; brother, James Johnston (Diane); sister in law, Hilda Johnston; and hosts of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Medlock was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Medlock; grandson, Jonathan Mitchell; parents, Frank and Marie Johnston; siblings, Agnes Burney, Alfred Johnston, Ralph Johnston; and her brother-in-law, CJ Burney.
